Cobourg: With everyone so very busy today VAX2GO’s goal is to make its Travel Health service as convenient and painless as possible.

Starting this fall all Vax2go clients will be able to register and book their appointments online! “This move allows many benefits for our clients, says Clinic Manager, Heather Connor, “while it’s convenient the best news is that we will have their records at our fingertips. Travel plans can be very time consuming and we simply wish to remove barriers to receiving proactive health care”. VAX2GO have made plans to go to an electronic health record system, which will offer many benefits to our clients: - Email reminders for appointments and boosters - Easy access to information and records - Pre-registration online that will enable us to prepare information prior your appointment - Convenience of online booking and having us remind you the next time we need to see you Vax2Go currently operates offices in three convenient locations - Cobourg, Lindsay and Bowmanville serving Durham, Northumberland, Peterborough and Victoria County. And for large groups don't forget, you are welcome to book our mobile clinic – we come to you. Details are available on the website. VAX2GO wants your travel plans to be all you expect them to be.

Cobourg:  September will be here in no time and everyone is in back to school mode. Thinking about preparing for a trip can be quite a muddle - for many we don't do it every day. But prepare you should, especially when it concerns your health. A simple trip south to Disney or to that destination of a lifetime can present health challenges and VAX2GO can help.

Put VAX2GO on your “to do” list today. From immunization against exotic disease, to malaria to the TwinRix vaccine you probably need to plan NOW. (A course of inoculations may require multiple visits - for example The TwinRix Vaccine does).

An appointment doesn't take a long time and it could mean the difference between a stay in an exotic resort or hospital bed. VAX2GO has 3 convenient locations to serve you and our staff if highly efficient at getting you the care you need and on your way.

If you are travelling with a group, (school, university, college, Chamber of Commerce, mission, volunteer organization or other) call to book our mobile clinic. Vax2go will come to your location and give your participants the information, vaccinations, medications and prescriptions they need for safe and healthy travel.

Bowmanville: VAX2GO Travel Health Clinic is pleased to announce that we've got you covered. VAX2GO has opened new Travel Health offices in the Durham Region at Pharmasave Medicine Chest at 221 King St., Bowmanville. A quick visit will set you on your way to safe and enjoyable travel.

“We're very excited about our new location and continued relations with pharmacists Mike Cavanagh and Brad Chmarney”, says VAX2GO Travel Health Physician, Doctor Stephen Connor, “Reaching into Durham was always in the plan and now we can bring our travel health service to Bowmanville”.

“Preparing for a safe adventure requires a bit of planning to ensure your trip is all that you expect it to be”, says VAX2GO principal, Heather Connor, “your health should be of primary concern”. A simple inoculation or series of preventative measures can make or break your business trip or vacation. The cost of simple vaccines pales in comparison to repatriation costs - now in the thousands of dollars. “There is a great website published by the Canadian Government on how best to prepare for a safe and enjoyable trip – Well on Your Way - A Canadian's Guide to Healthy Travel <>”, adds Connor, “once you review it give us VAX2GO a call and we can discuss your needs - often it's simpler than you think”.

Durham patients can now book their Travel Health assessment visits by calling 905-373-0220 or 905-373-0440. Bowmanville office hours are Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
